The Greenville County School District has decided to allow the Timeline Walkway to stay where it is, with one request – the word “Allah” will be removed from the Islamic Tile. All this because we stood together as students.
Look what happens when we fight for something we believe in!

In spite of the rain, I hope the guys and gals who are out protesting are staying dry. I can’t make it today, but word on the street is the organizer contacted the media and hopefully we’ll get some attention for the movement.
Also, a certain girl is going to Greenridge today to put up fliers around the shopping plaza. Best of luck to her, and she’s got tons of paper. If you happen to be near the area, stop by and give her a hand. She’s crazy to do that alone in the rain!
Even more good news, another student is putting some up in Greer also! All this great news makes me want to listen to John Lennon!

Alright, here’s the first big blow to our Administration and the School District. On Monday, we will hold a day long stand-on, from 8am to 8pm. It’s a day off for us, but not them. There’s nothing they can do to stop us. The teachers and Ms. Hughes will be there to see that we REALLY care and want more than empty promises by her. Make sure you bring plenty of water and maybe some snacks, and some shit to do if you get bored.
Come early to get your tile!
It would be good if people brought posters and fliers to pass out.

Well guys, today we learned a few things, let’s list ‘em out for everyone to see:
1. Clapping at lunch is in fact, an amazing thing and should be done more often.
2. The Administration is shocked that we know our rights!
3. Ms. Hughes doesn’t want to lose control, which she did and has.
4. Whoever keeps posting up those fliers in my place, you’re doing a good job!
5. Standing up for what you believe in is the greatest feeling in the world.
6. Be respectful and peaceful to authority, but do not let them stop your rights.
7. You have your right to assemble, petition, and speak your mind. Let no Administrator threaten that. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. If you don’t, ask anyone.
8. Watch who you tell, today fucked up because the Administrators were tipped off.
9. Most teachers are with us on this, don’t give ‘em a cold shoulder.
10. Do not take what Ms. Hughes says as true until it’s actually happened!
We’ll keep fighting this until we hear her say she’s not moving them, or until Mr. Garner himself says there is now a peaceful alternative.
